Nothing reflects the enjoyable bond between mother and daughter like the new MamaOm Collection by MariaFer Florido. There is plenty of inspiration to be found in Florido's daily life, where fashion and play mix together while feeling comfortable and caring for the environment are major priorities.

Florido mother of two little girls and the daughter of a clandestine designer that decided to create a mother and daughter line. It began when Florido designed 3 dresses for her daughter and herself. Every time she wore the dresses people would stop her and ask her where they could get them. Getting pregnant with her second daughter only gave her more inspiration and longing for her creations.

When designing her first collection she knew she had to bring her environmental background into play using organic fabrics for her apparel line and leaving the conventional for her bikini line. Comfort is very important for Florido, it can be the prettiest dress in the world, if it is not comfortable nobody will wear it. MamaOm brings it all together: the fun colors of childhood, everyday comfort, softly pure organic fabrics and a global view of fashion.

The MamaOm Collection also expresses Florido's international perspective. Born in Ecuador, she studied in North America, Costa Rica and Australia, before settling in Miami. In less than a year Florido has taken her creations from her playroom to her showroom and she is not willing to stop any time soon, and her two little girls are sure to be following her.
